Antibiotics argon chemi cals that we use to treat infection, often bacterial infections. They work by both killing the bacteria or by stopping them dividing and growing. Some work by interfering with enzymes that are essential in the replication of genetic worldly (either deoxyribonucleic acid or RNA) in the bacterial cells or in protein discount. Some work just by blocking the sites where enzymes usually join to the substrate, so they merchant shipt join on and catalyse the reaction. The parent DNA molecule unravels itself and becomes 2 individual strands that stand on either end. The two strands exposed. Free nucleotides are floating in the nucleoplasm and they attach to the exposed bases. A pairs with T, whilst C pairs with G. This process makes sure that the replication procedure is happening exact. The nucleotide joining unitedly is caused by DNA polymerase. DNA polymerase splits the DNA into two separate strands and the mRNA (procedures regarding transcription and translation) makes a copy of t he split DNA.The mRNA then breaks off from the DNA and finds itself a ribosome to attach to which then allows the ribosome to absorb the mRNA and tRNA details and by doing this, the correct code for the amino acid has been found. Enzymes are very of the essence(p) in the process of DNA replication because if there werent any enzymes then thewhole process wouldnt have been even able to be carried out. DNA polymerases have responsibility to create the bonding of nucleotides and for replacing primers. These things have to happen in order for DNA replication to take place. Protein synthesis is a major part in the bodys growth and changes. It helps with the production of amino acid chains which are there for protein. However, the main importance of protein synthesis is the production of endless varieties of enzymes that are there for different reactions and movements made by the body. A body cannot function without enzymes and protein synthesis is needed for our existence.

Copyright Infringement

Copyright Learning Team every week Reflection LAW/421 Learning Team D Weekly Reflection Week three focused on copyright infringement, and the legal issues in cyberspace associated with copyright laws. Copyright infringement notify be categorize into three theories direct, indirect, and vicarious. Direct is the most obvious form because the copyright owner can prove legal ownership of the cultivate in question and that the infringer copied the work without permission. A facilitator in indirect theory of copyright infringement is liable for damages. The copyright owner must identify the direct infringer, and the facilitator must have friendship of the infringement. The copyright infringement pillow slip against Napster was a landmark case that forced Napster, once a free subscription service, to re-emerge as a paid subscription service. This case changed the way music was bought. Contri howeverory infringement was used against Napster to force them to shut down and change their bu siness model. Understanding the defense to infringement claims, specifically join use can be complex. Fair use is the most common defense of copyright infringement.Under the fair use defense, some infringement is permitted if the device can be used in a significant non-infringing way, such as a VCR. With the digital age and the growth of the Internet applying the copyright law has set about more difficult for the courts. Photography, music, and softwargon are the biggest areas affected by copyright infringement and issues dealing with cyberspace. Formats such as MP3 have made it easier for infringers to record audio frequency and data files much faster than before, which can make it harder to catch the infringer or facilitators.Software has also become increasingly popular for unauthorized duplication. iTunes has stepped up to adhere to the laws protect copyright by implementing safeguards to prevent illegal downloads. Digital photography and social networking have opened up new dimensions of copyright infringement issues for photographers. The Digital millenary Copyright Act has made strides in protecting copyright holders in the digital age by holding third parties responsible and going by and by parties that illegally download copyrighted aterial. Given that technology is proceeding at a lightning pace, one can only imagine how the music and movie industries are grappling with keeping as much as the profits as possible from their creative works. Although challenging for lawmakers, the advancement of technology in recent long time has led to the culmination of new laws and precedent in protection of quick-witted property. The Computer Software Copyright Act of 1980 afforded protection to computer software programs.Since then, appellate courts have suggested patents instead of copyrights provide the most appropriate form of intellectual property protection. Copyright infringement and protection is an important issue for all businesses modest and large. Most large businesses started out as small businesses that had a good idea that changed everything. Many small businesses dont own patents or copyrights, but as information becomes more and more valuable parts of businesses they are becoming more of a concern. The most valuable part of most companies is their intellectual property. The franchisor must give full disclosure and details that relate to any part of the franchise or company in question under authentic terms and conditions. Its also important to remember to check and see whether the franchiser has established another franchisee or any other promissory agreements. Patent and assay-mark lawyers are familiar in these matters and should be consulted upon buying a company with valuable information or if your own company or if patents and copyrights get involved (Steingold, 2005).

Faith Diversity Essay

This paper give look and examine four diverse doctrines Christianity, Buddhism, Rastafarianism and Islam religious perspective on mend. In Christianity, entreater is a way that a person nookie stay wellnessy physi cally, mentally and spectrally. wellness is viewed by having a strong spiritual relationship with the lord and living ones life by the word of God. Buddhist need a balance of health both mentally and physically in order to achieve optimal health. They way that they are able to restore health would be by practicing healthy dietary habits or meditation.Rastafarianism view on health as a balance of the mind, the body and the thought achieved with a more holistic approach like prayer and herb tea treatments. Lastly, Islam reaches ultimate purity by having a clean body and soul. They moldiness cleanse often and pray often. Religions differ in more ways they could hurl a incompatible sacred phonograph recordings, have different deities, or have different views on ho w to live a full life, finally they want the kindred thing, to have their faiths respected and incorporated into the interest they are receiving. IntroductionThroughout the world, there are thousands of understandably different religious affiliations. In the United States alone, there are approximately 313 religions and denominations (All Religions and Denominations in the US, 2008). This paper exit examine four diverse faiths Christianity, Buddhism, Rastafarianism and Islam. It will look at the doctrine of these four faiths when having care provided to them. It will specifically look at the spiritual perspective on healing. It will examine the critical components of healing for these faiths.Along with looking at these diverse faiths, this paper will look at what is important for plenty who are receiving care from health care providers whose views differ from their own. Christianity The Christians were the first people to start the worlds first voluntary charitable institution s which were hospitals (Trangelder, 2007). The reason that they started these hospitals is beca procedure they wanted to help the poor and those that were sick and dying (Trangelder, 2007). Health care and Christian belief go hand in hand. One of the most crucial components in healing is prayer. The Christians hold prayer in very high regard. They aspect that prayer has the ability to practise them better. In the book James 514-15(English Standard Version) it states, Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray everywhere him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up(Biblegateway, 2001). Along with prayer, the bible mentions many ways that a person can stay healthy physically, mentally and spiritually. Ultimately, the way to stay healthy is by having a strong spiritual relationship with the Lord and living ones life by the word of God.Buddhism The Buddhist has a different h oly book then the Christian faith. There sacred book is called Tripitaka. This holy book mentions that the only way to be truly healed is to be healthy in mind and body. westbound medicine focuses on curing symptoms to treat medical problems, but the Buddhist see this only as a short term fix. In order for one to be healed one must also treat the spiritual aspect of the disease and its mind-based causes and remedies must be the primary considerations(Buddhism, Medicine, and Health, n. d. ).Buddhist feel that possible reasons for illness or disease would be 1) an imbalance of the four elements (earth, water, fire, and wind), 2) irregular dietary habits, 3) senseless meditation methods, 4) disturbances by spirits, 5) demon possession, and 6) the force of bad karma (Buddhism, Medicine, and Health, n. d. ). They way that they are able to restore health would be by practicing healthy dietary habits, meditation, paying respect to the Buddha, repentance, reciting mantras, reciting the B uddhas name and using the dharma as medicine (Buddhism, Medicine, and Health, n. d. ).By doing this they would be able to visualize a balance physical and mentally and find long-term health. Rastafarianism Like the Christians, the Rastafarians sacred text that they pray to is the Bible, but the difference is how it is interpreted. The Rastafarians also feel that the transport or God incarnate is Haile Selassie. He was a former Emperor of Ethiopia (Griffith, 2009). In Rastafarianism health care takes a holistic approach to healing they believe that the concept of health extends to three spheres the mind, the body and the soul (though sometimes the psychological and spiritual can sometimes be categorizedto featureher)(Rastafari and the Environment, 2012). They cure illnesses by use of home remedies or tonics rather than visiting a doctor. Rastafarians disown western influences of ideology, diet, lifestyle and religion in favor of belief systems and practices of African origin, which emphasizes the use of natural ingredients and tools(Rastafari and the Environment, 2012). Islam For the Islam, their sacred text is the Quran. In the Quran, unlike the Christians, Muhammad is the illusionist sent to Earth to pass the word of the Lord, Allah. The Muslims feel that good health is one of the ways to get to heaven. In the Quran, it has teachings that show people how to protect his or her health and live life in a state of purity (Muslim Health Network (n. d). The single most important thing for this faith is prayer. Muslims perform it five times a day. The obligatory prayers provide a good means for the circulation of blood, internal respiration and general suppleness of joints (Muslim Health Network (n. d). Along with prayer they must cleanse after prayer, have a healthy diet, fast and refrain from intoxicates.Despite these religious differences in the United States, peoples only tender is to have their religious views respected and honored if possible. No matter if healthcare providers spiritual beliefs differ from those in their care, patients want their faith to be incorporated into the care that they are receiving. The Christian philosophy as written in the book of Luke 631 (English Standard Version) And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them(Biblegateway, n. d. ).This goes in line as all people would like to be treated, no matter how different spiritual views might be. In conclusion, the author learned that although many religions differ ultimately they want the same thing, to have their faith incorporated into the care they are receiving. Religions differ in many ways, they could have a different scared book, have different deities, or have different views on how to live a full life. Medication, chanting or prayer can help achieve interior(a) peace to ultimately reach health inside and out.? References Biblegateway (2001). James 514-15 ESV Is anyone among you sick? Five Force Analysis Essay

The volume says in Philippians 23-4 Do nothing from challenger or conceit, but in humility count early(a)s more significant than yourselves. Let each of you ask not only to his own interests, but also to the interest of others. The diligence-based view of strategy is underpinned by the five dollar bill forces framework, first advocated by Michael Porter, it was later strengthen by others. The five forces strategy forms the backbone of the industry-based view of strategy. Since its demonstration in 1979, has become the framework for industry analysis. The five forces measure the competitiveness of the market deriving its attraction (Peng, 2009). Soft drink industry requires huge amount of money to spend on publicizing and marketing. In 2000, Pepsi, Coke and their bottlers invested approximately $2.58 billion. This makes exceptionally lumbering for a new competitor to sputter with current market and expand visibility. (MBA lectures, 2010).The Coca Cola Company has little wo rries when it comes to threats of potential entry. The drinkable industry there is no consumer switching embody and zero capital requirement. Coca Cola is a beverage but it is also seen as a brand. Coke has held a significant market sh be for a long and their customers are loyal trying new brands are not wantly. Actions indicative of a full(prenominal) degree of rivalry include frequent price wars, proliferation of new products, intense advertising campaigns and high cost competitive actions and reactions (Peng, 2009). The intensity of the rival threatens firms by reducing profits. Currently, the main competitor Coca Cola has is Pepsi. Pepsi has a wide range of beverage products under its brand. Coca-Cola and Pepsi are the predominant carbonate beverages and committed heavily to sponsoring outdoor(prenominal) events and activities. The market have other soda brands that are popular such as Dr. Pepper because of its unparalleled flavors. The other brands havent been as successf ul as Pepsi or Coca Cola. Threat of living rival is high among Coca Cola and Pepsi.Coke and Pepsi are primarily competing on advertising and specialty rather than on pricing. Substitutes are products of different industries that satisfy customer needs currently metby the central industry (Peng, 2009). Microeconomic teaches the more permutations a product has, the demand for the product becomes elastic. Pepsi is not a substitute for Coke because they are in the same industry. Tea, coffee, juice, and water are substitutes because they are beverages but are in a different product category. There are many kinds of energy drink, soda, and juice product in the market Coke doesnt really have a unique taste its hard for many people to tell in a taste test which one is which. All the suppliers of these substitutes need massive advertising, brand equity, brand loyalty and making sure that their brands are effortlessly accessible to consumers (MBA Lectures, 2010). The talk terms index nu mber of buyers weather corporate or single(a), firms in the focal industry are essentially supplies.A small number of buyers leads to strong bargaining power. Buyers whitethorn enhance their bargaining power if products of an industry do not clearly produce cost saving or enhance the quality of life for buyers. Buyers may have strong bargaining power if they purchase standard, commodity products from suppliers. Buyers are just like suppliers they may enhance their bargaining power by entering the focal industry through backward integrating (Peng, 2009). The most important buyers for the Soft Drink industry are fast food fountain, vending, convenience stores, restaurants, college canteens and other in the categorize of market share (MBA Lectures, 2010). The bargaining power of buyers for Coca Cola has subaltern pressure. The individual has no pressure on Coca Cola. The consumer brand loyalty helps Coca Cola when it comes large retailers like Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart have power in barga ining because of the large order quantity.Bargaining power of suppliers are low for Coca Cola. Suppliers are organization that provide inputs, such as materials, services, and manpower, to firms in the focal industry. The bargaining power of suppliers refers to their ability to raise and reduce quality of goods and services. If the supplier industry is dominated by a a couple of(prenominal) firms, they may gain an upper hand (Peng, 2009). The main ingredient for soft drink are carbonated water, phosphoric acid, sweetener, and caffeine. The supplier are not concentrated. Coca Cola is the largest customer for these suppliers. Suppliers products are important input for the manufactures in this industry because these product are not substituted.ReferenceHoly BiblePeng, M.W. (2009). Global Strategy (3rd. ed.)
